While training and running the Learn to Row classes, she also began coaching a select group of junior rowers who earned a gold medal in the Men's Double and a silver medal in the Women's Double at the 2006 US Rowing Youth National Championships. Capping an immensely successful season for the entire 2007 team, DRC claimed the Youth National Championship's first-ever Lightweight Women's Youth Double title by nearly 14 seconds over the second and third place crews - the largest margin of victory in the entire 2007 regatta. One of these athletes continued on to row for the Swiss Junior National team later that summer and later won the Youth Women's Double at the Head of the Charles. In the summer of 2007, Ashlee was invited to assist in coaching the US National Team's Lightweight Women's 1x at the World Championships in Munich, Germany. They earned a silver medal for the United States after having beaten the now three-time gold medal winner in both the heats and finals.
Ashlee brings that same strength and determination to Greenwich Crew where she is a coach and an active director overseeing the whole program.
